On my way to the airport I decided that I should probably stop and take some pictures of the sunrise. I just happened to come across this cool little place in Jones Beach. With all the cool clouds in the sky, and the stiff breeze, a long exposure was a no brainer.
Supposedly a big storm was rolling in today. It sure looked like it was coming, but I haven't seen it yet
It's crazy how low the Great Salt Lake gets in the fall. I walked out past the "beach
probably about 300 yards to take the is shot, and I probably could've easily walked another 300 yards before hitting water.
For people that have grown up in Lehi, UT...this is a landmark. I went here several times as a child, with my mom. She used to go to Broadbent's to pick up fabric and sewing supplies, while I browsed everything else.
I can't believe how mesmerizing Glacier Point is. Half Dome is an absolutely gorgeous chunk of Granite, and the 3000' foot drop into the valley below certainly takes your breath away just looking down.
My trip back down from Glacier Point had a great overlook of the western part of Yosemite Valley. Gorgeous clouds and a sunset just added to the beauty of Yosemite.
Just a few hours before the Finals of the Red Bull Rampage 2013 in Virgin, UT
On my way to Palmdale, I took a slight detour through the Imperial Dunes. I was hoping for clouds and a colorful sunset, but the wind carved dunes were still gorgeous.
Another work trip led to some fun adventures. I was born a little north of this area. We moved away when I was still a baby, and I never really got a chance to see the beauty of Washington until about 10 years ago. I wish I'd have grown up here.
This was during a quick "work" trip with a co worker. We ended up hanging out on the beach for a few hours, waiting for the sun to set. These shots around Ventura Place were a lot of fun to shoot. The place gets really lively after the sun set.
I was driving to Palm Desert, CA for a work trip and decided to take a detour away from Vegas and near Lake Mead. I knew I'd be hitting rush hour, so a slight detour was probably quicker anyway.
Underneath I-70 just east of No Name.
Road to Reef
A quick work trip to San Diego resulted in some fun times shooting at Mission Bay
There was a lot of movement in the water that was sort of mesmerizing to watch...so I did
Texas and Fannin
I'm so glad that I decided to take a look at what was beneath me. I went to downtown Houston to take some shots of the Chase building, and found something much better.
I was trying to get some night shots of the Gerald D Hines Waterwall, but apparently they shut off the water at night...weird. The Transco Tower was just a few steps away.
